Name Change, New Website
September 1, 2011

Welcome one and all to the grand opening of the new website for the Cal Poly Alliance of Happy Atheists (AHA), formerly the Cal Poly Brights. Don’t be alarmed by the change, we’re still the same people and we’ll still host the same great events, but we hope to have more and inspire more participation!

What’s New:

  • New Name – We’ve adopted the name AHA! (Alliance of Happy Atheists).
  • Updated Mission – We’ve posted a formal mission statement of our very own outlining our intent to advance the secular, rational, and skeptical causes.
  • New Website – A new, more useful website has been developed to provide better, more accurate information, be easier to maintain, and host more new content. Learn more about our new website in this article.
  • New Content – We are exploring new content publishing. While we’ve been doing videos for a while, we are publishing articles and looking into other content. More on this at our first meeting though.

Our hope is with these changes we’ll make better use of our website in getting accurate information and interesting content out, and that we can inspire more participation and enthusiasm through more regular, frequent events.

If you have something you want to see the club do, some opinion on what is happening, or anything you want to tell us, please contact us via email or check out our Facebook group!

Here’s to a great new club year!

– The 2011-2012 AHA! Officers
